Statement: The current situation of IRON & Desolation

It's been a long week for us. It started out with our old guild leadership leaving (without any early warning) taking with them all our infrastructure (voice comms gone, forums gone) as well as stealing donations made to the guild (both real money and ingame funds).

We have been busy getting all the necessary services back up and running whilst at the same time trying to keep our WvW presence up to our usual standards. We now have new forums with a new domain (http://www.ironguild.eu) and we have got a new teamspeak server up and running.

The new guild-leadership has been working on getting these services up together with sorting out recruitment and leading our forces in WvW.

This transition has been stressfull for each and everyone in [IRON] and we are still regrouping and preparing, but we will be back in force as soon as we are rested and prepared. We have taken it to an internal vote to figure out if we are going to take a week of of WvW (meaning we will be casually WvWing) in the next week and as this is being written it looks like the majority of our guildmembers prefers a week of rest. This will also give the guild leaders & officers the opportunity to sort out any issues that still need adressing.

[IRON] is strong because of its members and its good spirit and this is what will carry us forward. We stand together as one (oppa turtle style!) and we stand strong.

Desolation

Desolation has gone back up to Tier1 too early. We as a server were not ready for it yet and have only been carried up by RUIN capping everything (at night) against (close to) no opposition in the lower tiers.

RUIN now leaving sets us back into a state we were in before [IRON] and our allies started getting Desolation organised (before RUIN even arrived). We now have people left on Desolation that - once again - try to facerub everything, play without any understanding of tactics or even without any sign of logical thinking. (Of course this is not the case for everyone, but the amount of people in the "we can facerub everything, we have the superior numbers" mindset has definitely grown in the weeks RUIN was visiting Desolation.)

Desolation will probably drop back to Tier2 next week and we as [IRON] are looking forward to it. It will give us time to sort out recruitment and organisation. It will also give Desolation time to organise and get back to the exceptional playstyle we were getting into before RUIN came along.

Concerning rumors of [IRON] leaving Desolation: These are in no way true. We have been on Desolation since day 1 and we will stay on Desolation and continue to fight side by side with our allies to do as well as we possibly can.

I think this needs abit of an update tbh =)), its been an awesome 2 months for IRON and the server imo, we are soon going back to tier 1 soon no doubt. I unsticked for now since this is not the current situation =)
